I love taking photos.
When I was 11 my family and I went to the Olympics in Los Angeles, my home town. I asked my dad for the camera and snapped this shot. A few weeks later, when we got the film back, my mother told me that it was a really great picture. I realize now that she was my mother, I was 11, and it's very likely that thousands of other people took the same picture. At the time, however, I thought: this is what I want to do.
Then I forgot that and became an actor.
Then I remembered again while doing plays in Chicago in the 90's.
I started taking pictures backstage and during rehearsals, then doing press shots for shows and headshots for friends and friends of friends. Over time I branched out to do weddings and other events and the occasional pet portrait (mostly of the cat that is trying to sit on the keyboard as I type this).
